Came here for a friend’s birthday and had a great time. They gave us the VIP room without us asking. The food is really wonderful. The cheeses are fantastic. You can substitute out if you need to, like black beans or avocado for meat, etc. Then they still charged less cause I skipped the meat. We got the butternut soup on Sunday night and it was amazing. The potato and cheese Pastelitos were so comforting and yummy. The corn empanada shell was almost sweet like cornbread. All the cheeses were so tasty and wonderful textures. Upbeat Latin music, and really friendly staff! The flan is so smooth. Check this gem out! Menus in English (with pics) and Venezuelan. They brought a little serving a flan with a candle for the birthday girl and she loved that. Very casual yet very clean and fun.

I have had Venezuelan food a few times before, and found it to be a little dry. Zulia’s is anything but dry. They are a powerhouse of Venezuelan flavor in an unassuming storefront, tucked away in a shopping center off of 281. The staff is very friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions. They have a fantastic variety of offerings, and a small Venezuelan market inside as well. We went with the House Burger, the Arepa Llanera, and the Tequenos to start. The Tequenos are large cheese sticks that are delicious, packed full of cheese and served with a delicious Mayo Garlic Cilantro sauce, spicy or regular. They are different from any cheese sticks I’ve ever had, and they are an awesome starter. I ordered the Arepa Llanera, a hefty mix of asada beef and chicken breast with cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, and the Mayo Garlic Cilantro, stuffed into a perfectly cooked cornmeal pocket. It was big enough to satisfy anyone, and the furthest thing from dry. The proteins were perfectly cooked and were complimented nicely by the avocado, sauce, cheese, and pico. This arepa is legit! The House Burger is a monster burger with layers of flavor. A half pound of angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, bacon, grilled cheese, potato sticks, ketchup, mustard, and the Mayo Garlic Cilantro sauce, all on a brioche bun. It’s a big burger with a massive amount of flavor, worth every penny. I will definitely be coming back to Zulia’s, as there are so many delicious options I did not get to try. From Venezuelan Hot Dogs, to empanadas, to Venezuelan soup (Sundays only), to plantains and loaded fries, to the Venezuelan National Plate, Pabellon! Looking forward to my next visit!

This place was amazing. I loved the music they had playing. The staff was friendly. The food was tender and so well seasoned. I had the beef brisket and fish empanadas; they were phenomenal. I was happily surprised by how much I enjoyed the fish empanadas. I also had the house burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, I loved the passion fruit juice. It wasn’t too sweet and had a slight sour kick which I enjoyed. I don’t think I need to say it, but just in case, I will be back.

Everything we ordered was INCREDIBLE. The Arepa Pabellon, and the hot dog had great flavor profiles. The simpler dishes like the chicken empanada, brisket empanada, and potato pastelito were also delicious in their own right. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu, because everything sounds so good. You’ll be glad you tried them out!

The food was tasty, excellent flavor and texture and the prices aren’t bad. Particularly enjoyed the empanadas and look forward to trying the arepas next time. The cheese sticks were tasty and the sauces were good, but definitely a kick on at least one of them. The hot dog salchiqueso was over the top for me, but not bad. Tables inside and out that were good. It was busy so a bit of a wait after ordering. Definitely plan to return.

We dined in and had a great experience. We ordered pabellon, pasteles andinos, and a cachapa—everything was super tasty. The carne mechada was especially good, really tender and full of flavor. The pasteles andinos were delicious, and the cachapa was sweet and cheesy, just right. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. We felt really welcome and taken care of.

I was so glad to happen upon this restaurant. In my search for something different, and fairly quick, I was quite pleased. Service is quick, and with a friendly smile. The food was great - very flavorful and cooked wonderfully. Looking forward to coming back soon!
